Secretariat Intervention

Post  Great Eurussia on Sun Nov 17, 2013 12:35 pm

Marquette (of Pacific) wrote:An issue with the results of the election has been brought up, and a recount has been carried out. I have concluded that the issue was that Europe & Asia's votes were counted, and he is not permitted to vote as he does not hold a seat in the Parliament. Thus, the votes submitted by Europe and & Asia are now proclaimed VOID.

Here is the official list of Council members:

1. New-Zealand- 11
2. Shirouma- 9
3. Holy Patrician States- 9
4. Aloia- 9
5. Yellasia- 8
6. New Tarajan- 8
7. TO BE ANNOUNCED

However, with Europe & Asia's votes being proclaimed void, the United States of Europe has lost a vote, and now we have a four-way tie for the seventh seat in the Council.

To solve this tie, the members of the Parliament may vote for one of each of these nations:

1. United States of Europe
2. Freedom Planita 2
3. Havenburgh
4. Great Eurussia

Voting shall commence immediately and will be concluded at 0:00 (GMT) November 18, 2013

WA SECRETARIAT'S UNOFFICIAL TALLY

--------------------------------------------------
(1) New Zealand - 11 votes
(2) Aloia - 9 votes
(3) Yellasia - 9 votes
(4) Holy Patrician States - 9 votes
(5) Shirouma - 9 votes
(6) New Tarajan - 8 votes
(7) Europa - 6 votes
(7) Eurussia - 6 votes
Planita - 5 votes
Havenburgh - 5 votes
Dromoda - 3 votes
Atletius - 2 votes
---------------- Not running ---------------------
North UK - 7 votes
Trapatrical - 6 votes
Antanares - 1 vote
-------------------------------------------------
Counted Votes - NZ, EU, SH, DR, PL, NT, DR, AN, USE, AT, AL, HPS, YL, NUK, MQ
Void Votes - EA
--------------------------------------------------

The Secretariat of the World Alliance, lead by the Secretary General from the Empire of Great Eurussia, is inclined to publish its unofficial tally, counted and verified thrice, due to the changing results, considered official, published by the Speaker of the Parliament. Hence, we seek Members of the Parliament to scrutinize all the official and unofficial tallies available.

With these, if the Secretariat's published unofficial tally is considered reliable and credible, the Secretariat sees no reason to hold a tie breaking election on the 7th Seat among Eurussia, Europa, Planita, and Havenburgh all WADSP members.

Hence, the 7th Seat will become a tie between Eurussia and Europa, both WADSP Members. Therefore, if the Secretariat's unofficial tally is considered reliable and credible, Eurussia, as a Member of Parliament and a member of the WA Democratic & Socialist Party, the same as Europe, relinquishes its right to contend against Europe on the 7th Seat under consideration and leave the seat to our trusted ally and partymate, Europa.

The current Parliament's term will end on February 2014. But now, you can join existing political parties, sitting in Parliament so if ever they could allot you a seat when there is vacancy. OR form your own political party and form a coalition with other parties so you could still push your agenda for the region even not sitting in Parliament.

I replace him with New Malizia. New Malizia is the only nation I can replace him with cause all the others didn't run in the election.
OOC: New Malizia is now the replacement of Trapatrical.
