(Dismissed) Merger of News Networks

Post  Arveyres on Thu Jan 16, 2014 8:55 am

It has come to my attention that certain people in the World Alliance, myself included would like to see the two News Networks (WAINN and WANNN) to be merged back together into one news thread.

It is becoming quite annoying seeing people posting international business in the WANNN and posting happenings in their nations that only involve them in the WAINN. There are also those posts that you can't really decide if it is WAINN worthy or WANNN worthy.

To sum this up, I proopse that the WAINN and WANNN be merged and formed back into the WANN.

Thank you.

We are now in an official debating period which will end at 0:00 (GMT) on the 18th of January, 2014. After that, a three day voting period will ensue, and end at 0:00 (GMT) on the 21st of January, 2014.

I would like to make it clear that while BMW is an international company, I was posting about two Marquetien companies working together on a project that would really only be developed inside Marquette itself, so it belongs in the WANNN.

What we need to do is have the moderators give warnings to people who post in the wrong news network, that way the two-network system's original purpose is upheld.

By having one news network, things can get confusing and sometimes lost. People's local news mixes with important, and sometimes heated, international affairs, such as wars spying scandals, etc., and can get in the way.

I support HPS's idea. And sometimes moderators just do not care about nitpicking at nations who might have posted in the wrong network, when just one network would do fine. We don't have that many more active nations now than we did when we had just one network, so why do we need two? Chances are, we all read both networks anyways, just to see what's going on and make sure civilians aren't protesting against us (lol), so why not make it more convenient and just put it in one place? My two cents.

Putting it in one place is not convenient; it is disorderly and messy. Two networks makes everything easier.

We are voting against, because we believe that the role of international games should be clearly separate from the news on a national scale (and thus without affecting overall).
Yes, it is true, many people confuse the two forums, but it is precisely for this reason that a moderator would present more and more active.
Bringing together the two forums is not the solution.

I am not in parliament but I will say this. I do not support a merger. We just need to define the rules a bit more. You know say this goes here that goes there all that stuff.

Eurussia is against the proposal. They are better separated.
But we will respect the decision of the Parliament.
